An American college baseball player was seriously injured by a bullet during a game.
According to local media such as CNN on the 1st (local time), the accident occurred during a game between Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Houston-Victoria University held in Texarkana, Texas on the 29th of last month.
According to police, Matthew Delaney (18) of Texas A&M University was standing in the bullpen and collapsed after being hit in the chest by a bullet that flew outside the baseball field. He was transported to a nearby hospital for surgery and is currently in an intensive care unit, and is in a stable condition with no damage to his life. He just has to overcome serious injuries and complications.
Police believe the bullet was fired in a residential area not far west of the baseball field.
DeMarco Banks, 20, turned himself in on Monday while police issued arrest warrants for two suspects in connection with the shooting. He was imprisoned in the local detention center. Police are pursuing another suspect, a 17-year-old believed to have shot the baseball player. 메이저놀이터
Banks could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted, and up to 20 years for the 17-year-old.
According to police social media posts, the case began with an “argument” between the two suspects, Banks and a 17-year-old boy. The two ended up shooting each other, and one of the ‘wrong bullets’ flew about 400 yards (about 366m) and hit an innocent victim on the ballpark. According to the post, the two suspects fled before police arrived, and three others at the scene were arrested on drug-related charges.
