The Korean women’s goalball team has won the right to participate in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
The national team won 5-2 in the semi-final against Canada at the 2022 International Visual Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball World Championships 온라인카지노 held in Matosinhos, Portugal on the 15th (local time), securing the right to participate in the Paralympic Games given to the finalist team.
Korea gave Canada the lead, but managed to turn around by scoring three goals in the first half alone.
In the second half, Canada gave up a point and allowed a one-point lead, and Shim Seon-hwa scored two goals through a penalty to break the game.
It is the first time in 28 years since the 1996 Atlanta Games that the Korean women’s goalball team will step on the Paralympic stage.
Having achieved their goal, the national team will play the final against Turkey on the 17th with a light heart.
Goalball is a sport for the blind. Teams of three players play by throwing a ball containing a bell into the opposing team’s goal.
